Description
An attractive crested fern that reaches a height of up to 35 inch( 90 cm). It was selected in 1873 from 'Vernoniae'. This plant is typical of the Victorian craze for ferns at the end of the 19th century. Crested, tufted and pinnate ferns were especially popular in those days. The Crested Lady Fern has lovely apple green fronds that die off in winter, only to reappear again in spring with characteristic curls.
