Tropical American fern with brown scaly rhizomes cultivated for its beautiful deep bluish-green fronds; sometimes placed in genus Polypodium. Smaller and more compact than Phlebodium aureum, the "Golden Polypody". Blue Star has proven to be suitable as cutfoliage.
